Comprehensive guidelines and policies for DynastyU recruiting events, showcases, and 7v7 tournaments to ensure a safe, fair, and productive environment for all participants.

Field Dimensions & Specifications

Length

40 yards in length – 40, 25 & 10 are the first down lines

Width

Between 145' - 160' in width

End Zone

10 yards deep in End Zone

Hash Marks

Field hash marks are of high school dimensions

Team Members & Requirements

Players

  • Each team has a maximum of 25 players
  • Players will not be accepted as individuals - all must be part of a team
  • Teams are not required to utilize an offensive center (not eligible receiver)
  • Boys Only - Every player must produce a copy of their original birth certificate

Coaches

  • Each team has a maximum of 4 coaches
  • Coaches allowed on sidelines only during games
  • One offensive coach may be in huddle between plays (must move outside hash when huddle breaks)
  • Defensive coaches are not allowed on the field at any time

Officials & Staff

Game Officials

Each game will have a minimum of three (3) officials: Referee/Field Judge and Back Judge

Scorekeeper/Timekeeper

Each game needs to have a dedicated scorekeeper/timekeeper

Field Manager

One field manager required for every two 7v7 fields to assist with crowd, player, coach, and referee control

Game Times & Format

Timing Rules

  • Teams must be onsite and ready to start on time - late teams begin on defense
  • Teams late by 10+ minutes will forfeit the game
  • Games played with 20-minute running clock
  • Last 2 minutes played as regulation football with clock stoppages (bracket play only)
  • 1 timeout per team (30 seconds) - during tournament bracket play only

Overtime Rules

  • During tournament bracket play only
  • Teams alternate three (3) plays from the ten-yard line
  • Starting with 3rd overtime, all PAT's must be 2-point attempts from 10-yard line
  • Each team awarded one timeout during overtime period

Important Notes:
  • • No runbacks or "pick 6" for safety reasons
  • • Turnover on PAT is dead ball
  • • Official scores kept by referee and scorekeeper

Penalties

Offensive Penalties

  • Off-sides: Loss of Down
  • Delay of Game: Loss of Down (25 seconds to snap ball)
  • Pass Interference: 5-yard penalty and Loss of Down
  • No penalty may be assessed in excess of the 40 yard line

Defensive Penalties

  • Off-sides: 5-yard penalty
  • Defensive Holding: 5-yard penalty
  • Defensive Pass Interference: Spot foul (1st down at spot)
  • If DPI in end zone: 1st down at 1-yard line

Game Rules & Format

Basic Rules

  • • Pool Play format
  • • Bracket Play - Higher seed gets choice
  • • No kicking or punting
  • • No passer may run with ball
  • • All passes must be forward

Formation Rules

  • • Hand offs not allowed
  • • Legal offensive formations only
  • • Receivers respect tackle box
  • • No blocking
  • • Laterals only after completion

Turnovers & Dead Balls

  • Down by Contact: Receiver legally down when touched below neck with one or both hands
  • Fumbles: Dead ball at spot, last team retains possession
  • QB Clock: 4.0 seconds to throw ball
  • Interceptions: 3 points awarded, no returns
  • Downs: Must gain 15 yards in 3 plays or less

Sportsmanship & Conduct

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

  • • Fighting will result in immediate removal from event
  • • Verbal abuse will result in removal from event
  • • No taunting or excessive foul language
  • • No vandalism of venue property
  • • Weapons, drugs, alcohol, smoking and chewing tobacco PROHIBITED

Expected Conduct

  • Players, coaches, and spectators must maintain high sportsmanship standards
  • Teams responsible for conduct of players and supporters
  • Disruptive behavior may result in penalties or disqualification

Tiebreakers

Two Teams Tied

Head-to-head records determine winner

Three or More Teams Tied

  • 1. Head-to-head records
  • 2. Points allowed
  • 3. Points scored
  • 4. Coin flip

Appeals Process

  • Coaches/players may not dispute judgment calls during gameplay
  • Rules interpretation disagreements may be stopped for official clarification
  • All ruling discrepancies must be reported to Field Manager within 20 minutes after game
  • Reversal decisions at Field Manager's discretion
